# domain_limit_reached

The plan does not allow more domains.

## What it means

Creating this domain would go over the plan's hard cap: twice the included domains on paid plans, three on Free, counting every live domain that is not deleted. New accounts are also limited to 10 domains in their first 24 hours. `error.message` says which limit applied.

## Why it happens

- The account is on Free and already has three live domains.
- Many abandoned `pending_dns` domains still count until they expire or are deleted.
- A new account added many domains in its first day.

## What to do

1. Choose a larger plan on the billing page; see [Limits and pricing](/docs/limits-and-pricing).
2. Delete domains you no longer need.
3. Test domains never count: build and test with a test key.

- [Open the dashboard](/app/domains)
- [All limits](/docs/limits-and-pricing)
