# idempotency_key_in_use

A request with this Idempotency-Key is still being processed.

## What it means

You sent a request with an `Idempotency-Key` while an earlier request with the same key is still running. We refuse the second one rather than run it twice.

## Why it happens

- A client retried on its own timeout before the first request finished.
- Two workers picked up the same job and used the same key.

## What to do

1. Wait a moment and retry with the same key: you get the first request's response once it has finished.
2. Keys are remembered for 24 hours.
