# payload_too_large

The request body is larger than 100 KB.

## What it means

The request body is over the 100 KB limit, so we did not read it.

## Why it happens

- `metadata` carries a large blob (it is limited to 4 KB).
- A file or base64 data was sent in the body.

## What to do

1. Keep `metadata` to identifiers, like your tenant id, and look everything else up on your side.
2. Send a smaller body; see [Limits and pricing](/docs/limits-and-pricing).

- [Open the dashboard](/app/domains)
- [All limits](/docs/limits-and-pricing)
